DV – TTM Squeeze #
DV – TTM Squeeze can be accessed by navigating to the indicators section, typing in ‘DV’, and then selecting ‘DV – TTM Squeeze”. Once added, the TTM Squeeze indicator will appear at the bottom of the chart.
The primary objective of the DV – TTM Squeeze Indicator is to provide traders with an accurate and timely signal to identify potential breakout opportunities. By offering a clear visualization of market momentum and volatility, this indicator enhances trading strategies allow for more granular analysis. The customization options allow traders to tailor the indicator to their specific needs.
Calculations & Settings #
There are two main visuals in the indicator. The histogram which conveys increasing or decreasing positive or negative momentum in the price of the stock and mid-line plot which serves as the squeeze indicator.
- Histogram Colors:
- Oscillator Rising Above Zero: Default color is Aqua.
- Oscillator Falling Above Zero: Default color is Blue.
- Oscillator Rising Below Zero: Default color is Red.
- Oscillator Falling Below Zero: Default color is Yellow.
- Mid-line Plot (Squeeze Condition) Colors:
- Tight Squeeze: Indicates one of the Bollinger Bands is within the Tight Keltner Channels ranges. Default color is Orange.
- Medium Squeeze: Indicates one of the Bollinger Bands is within the Medium Keltner Channels ranges. Default color is Red.
- Loose Squeeze: Indicates one of the Bollinger Bands is within the Loose Keltner Channels ranges. Default color is Black.
- No Squeeze: Indicates both of the Bollinger Bands are outside the Loose Keltner Channels ranges. Default color is Green.
Customize Smoothing Length #
Users can also customize the the length of bars used to calculate Bollinger Bands and Keltner Channels, along with the ability to dictate the Bollinger Band Standard Deviation Multiple & three thresholds for Keltner Channels. These inputs are used to calculate the squeeze type.
