About the Role

We’re looking for a highly motivated Market Data Research Intern to support our research and analysis team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about financial markets, eager to work with large sets of market data, and looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced trading or fintech environment.

As an intern, you’ll work alongside analysts and product managers to extract insights, build data-driven reports, and ontribute to feature development through data exploration and user behavior research.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Collection & Validation: Gather, clean, and validate stock market data from various sources, including price feeds, company filings, and economic indicators.
• Market Analysis: Conduct historical and real-time analysis on stocks, sectors, and macroeconomic trends.
• Feature Research: Collaborate with product and design teams to explore new feature ideas by supporting research with relevant market data insights.
• Reporting: Prepare concise reports and presentations summarizing your findings, using visuals and clear takeaways.
• Tool Use: Utilize spreadsheets, financial APIs, and charting platforms to support research tasks.
• Support Decision-Making: Assist teams with ad-hoc research requests that influence product development or content strategy.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong interest in stock markets, trading, or financial research.
• Solid foundation in financial concepts (e.g., technical indicators, earnings reports, volume trends).
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data manipulation and analysis.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with SQL, or data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience using market research platforms or APIs.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
