In Deepvue you can set three types of alerts:
- Price alerts
- Trend line alerts
- Conditional alerts
Price alerts #
Set a price alert through any of these methods:
- Right-click on the chart –> add alert
- Hot keys: ALT + A (Windows) or OPTION + A (Mac)
- Quick Access menu –> add alert
In the pop-up, choose:
- Duration – how long you want the alert to last
- Price – trigger price
- Trigger – rising above or falling below
- Note – add an optional note
- Channels – select how you want to be notified when the alert triggers
Click Create. Your alert is now set and is represented by an orange line on the chart and appears in your alerts watchlist tab
Trend line alerts #
Set a trend line alert on any of these trend line drawings by right clicking on the drawing:
- Trend Line
- Ray
- Info Line
- Extended Line
- Trend Angle
- Horizontal Line
- Horizontal Ray
In the pop-up, choose:
- Duration – how long you want the alert to last
- Trigger – rising above or falling below
Click Create. Your alert is now set and the drawing will turn orange to indicate an alert is set on it. The alert also appears in your alerts watchlist tab
Conditional alerts #
You can add additional conditions to both price and trend line alerts by clicking + Add Condition in the pop up.
You can search for specific data points in the search window
After you select a data point for the second condition, select the ‘triggers if' from the drop down. Then enter the value for the selected data points ($ or %)
For boolean data points, select Yes or No
The alert will trigger then both conditions are met. If only one of price or the added condition are met, then alert will not trigger.
Edit an alert #
To edit any alert type, either click on the alert on the chart or click the pencil icon in the alerts watchlist. In the pop up you can toggle on/off the alert, delete it or edit any of the parameters of the alert. When you are done making changes, click Save.
